Around it, the blush-rose ground comes alive with scrolling vines, palmettes, and shah-abbasi blossoms in sage green, ivory, soft blue, and gold — the classic Tabriz vocabulary, drawn with remarkable control. Indigo spandrels frame each corner, and a broad navy border of linked flowers, bound by rose and ivory guard stripes, finishes the design like an ornate picture frame.
