Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

Against a soft grey ground, cream and grey-beige medallions are framed by leaf-vein detail and high-low pile relief, so the surface shifts with shadow and depth as you move around it.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from a wool and silk blend, it rewards close attention yet stays striking from across a room. The grey-and-cream palette is among the most versatile in design, and as a hand-knotted piece, it is entirely one of a kind.

Material: A blend of 60 percent wool and 40 percent silk. The wool gives strength, softness, and warmth, while the silk lends sheen and depth of colour.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum gently on low suction without a rotating brush, as silk is delicate.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour and sheen.
  • Entrust any deep clean to a professional rug cleaner experienced with silk.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The richness here comes from texture as much as pattern: cream and grey-beige medallions framed by leaf-vein detail, worked in high-low pile relief that casts shadow and depth across a deep charcoal espresso ground. It rewards close examination yet stays striking from a distance. The charcoal and cream palette is among the most universally compatible in interior design. Small variations in colour and weave throughout are the mark of genuine hand-knotting, the trace of a single weaver and a one-of-a-kind piece.
