Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

A soft, light palette like this shows dark spills more than a deep ground would, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

The garden panel layout divides the rug into a grid of framed compartments, like the beds of a formal garden seen from above. Here there are twenty panels, four across and five down, and no two are quite the same: some hold a small central diamond, some a fine trellis, others rows of tiny sprigs or scattered motifs. Narrow bands run between the panels like garden paths, tying the grid together. The border is built from many slim stripes and small repeating patterns rather than one wide band, which frames the panels with a quiet, layered rhythm. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
