Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A warm camel field sits at the centre, outlined by a fine brown sawtooth line, and is wrapped in a series of concentric bands: a deep chocolate-brown border scattered with cream dots, a narrow camel band of fine pinstripes, and a broad outer border in the same rich brown flecked with little cream motifs. The palette is entirely earthen — camel, taupe and dark brown — for a calm, grounding presence.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun wool rich in lanolin, it is dense, soft underfoot, and naturally resistant to everyday wear. The warm, neutral palette settles easily into both traditional and modern interiors, and the small irregularities of the weave mark it as a genuine one-of-a-kind piece.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Gabbeh takes its name from a Persian word meaning raw or natural, a nod to the honest, tribal character of these weavings. Here the design is built from simple, bold bands, a plain camel centre framed by brown borders dotted and pinstriped in the tribal manner, letting colour and proportion carry the whole composition. The warm, earthy palette is quietly versatile, at home in a hallway, bedroom or reading corner. Small variations in colour and weave are the mark of a genuine handmade rug, the trace of a single weaver rather than a machine.
