A deep indigo field is packed corner to corner with small polychrome geometric motifs — hooked diamonds, eight-pointed stars and serrated crosses in madder red, gold, ivory, soft green and blue — arranged in tidy diagonal rows so the whole surface shimmers like a mosaic. It is the dense, jewel-like field of a Caucasian Chi-Chi, one of the most disciplined of all tribal designs.
The field is framed by the border that gives the type its name: a camel-gold band of slanted bars alternating with rosettes, wrapped in ivory and red guard stripes of running stars and reciprocal motifs. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in the Caucasian Kuba manner, it is finely and densely woven from hand-spun wool, its natural dyes giving the indigo, madder and gold a quiet depth.
Chi-Chi rugs are prized by collectors for the sheer control of their all-over pattern — hundreds of tiny motifs held in perfect order. Densely knotted and built to last for generations, this medium piece is ideal as a richly detailed centrepiece or a layered accent, and stands as a genuine heirloom. Returns We accept returns within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original condition. To start a return, contact our customer support. For a defective or incorrectly shipped item, we cover the return cost and arrange a replacement or refund. For returns due to personal preference such as size, colour, or a change of mind, return shipping is paid by the customer.
